Why become a Member of the Erasmus Foundation?
We encourage you to become a member of the Erasmus Foundation
if:
- You are interested in Dutch and Australian culture and
their interaction;
- You like to know more about topics of general interest;
- You want to promote a mutual understanding and friendship
between our two countries and support the objectives of
the Erasmus Foundation, and
- You want to have an enjoyable time among like-minded people
at our meetings.

As a member you can attend all lectures and social functions of
the Society at reduced prices. Members also receive announcements
of upcoming functions and any special events
.At our dinner meetings invited speakers address members on subjects
of general interest (see our list
of previous guest speakers). The talks, held in English, are
followed by often very lively discussions. We also organise film
nights at the Australian Centre for the Moving Images or other venues.
On occasions we organise special events in the Dutch language.
Dinner Meetings
Members and guests usually meet bi-monthly on Tuesday nights at
selected venues (recently at the Queen's College of Melbourne University). There is ample opportunity for
members and their guests / friends to meet one another whilst enjoying
a drink. Dinner is served by 7.00 p.m.
at a very reasonable price. Talks are after dinner.
What does it cost?
- Family membership: $40.00 (1 year), $ 75.00 (2 years)
- Single membership: $30.00 (1 year), $ 55.00 (2 years)
